What is the FUE method?
FUE stands for Follicular Unit Extraction – the extraction of individual follicular units. Instead of cutting out a strip of skin, the hair follicles are loosened one by one with a fine hollow needle from the dense donor area at the back of the head. Each unit – called a graft – carries one to four hairs.
The advantage of this hair transplantation: it is minimally invasive, leaves no continuous cut scar and allows precise distribution. This way the hairline can be shaped hair by hair – so that the result does not look transplanted, but rather like your own hair.

We draw the hairline individually and numb the scalp locally – on request using the Sleep-Deep method.
Graft extraction
From the donor area at the back of the head, individual grafts are loosened with a micro hollow needle and checked under the microscope.
Channels & implantation
With Sapphire FUE, fine sapphire blades open the recipient channels at the right angle; then the grafts are placed densely and naturally.

After a brief check-up you go home – with a care plan and fixed aftercare appointments over twelve months.

Sapphire FUE is a further development of the classic technique. The difference lies in the tool: the channels into which the grafts are later placed are opened with particularly smooth blades of real sapphire instead of steel. This creates smaller, cleaner openings – the tissue is less irritated, the roots can be placed more closely and at a more natural angle.
In practice, that means more density, a calmer healing and a soft, natural hairline. In our most popular packages, Sapphire FUE is already included.

What happens after FUE.
In the first few days the recipient areas are slightly reddened, and fine crusts form that fall off after about a week. Many patients are presentable again after around a week. The transplanted hairs initially fall out at first – that is normal and part of the cycle.

FUE or DHI – where is the difference?
Both methods extract the grafts individually according to the FUE principle – the difference lies in the implantation. With classic FUE we first open the channels and then place the roots. With DHI, both happen in one step with an implanter pen, which often enables treatment without a full shave. Which technique suits you, we decide together.
