The Method
What is the DHI method – implantation with the pen.
DHI stands for Direct Hair Implantation, the direct implantation of the hairs. The grafts are extracted individually from the donor area at the back of the head. The difference lies in the second step: instead of opening fine channels in advance, the surgical team loads each hair follicle into a thin implanter pen (also called a Choi pen) and places it into the scalp in a single motion.
Because channel opening, insertion angle and placement happen simultaneously, growth direction and density can be controlled very precisely – ideal for the fine front hairline. The grafts are also outside the body only briefly.

How does healing after the DHI implantation proceed?
In the first few days small crusts form, which fall off after seven to ten days. Most people are presentable after around a week. The transplanted hairs initially fall out and grow back permanently from the third to fourth month. PRP and an aftercare plan support the growth phase.
