The most common worry among our female patients isn't the procedure itself. It's the thought of walking around with a shaved head for months. The good news: it doesn't have to be that way. With the DHI method, you keep your hairstyle – before, during and after the treatment.
How it works
Why DHI requires no shaving.
With the classic FUE technique, a large area of the head is shaved so the surgeon has a clear view of the extraction and implantation zones. The DHI method (Direct Hair Implantation) works differently: the hair follicles are extracted individually with a fine implanter pen and placed directly back in – even between existing, long hairs.
Only a small spot at the back of the head, where the follicles are taken from, is trimmed. It sits where the hair above covers it completely. To be honest: a little patience is still needed, because the transplanted hairs go through the usual growth phases. But nobody has to notice any of it.

Is it really true that no hair needs to be shaved off for the transplant?
Not with the DHI method. Only a small donor area at the back of the head is trimmed slightly – just small enough for the hair above it to cover it completely. Your hairstyle, your hair length and your parting stay exactly as they are.
Will people be able to tell I've had treatment afterwards?
In the first few days, small crusts may be visible in the treated area. With longer hair, however, they are usually easy to conceal. Many patients are back to their normal routine after about a week without anyone noticing a thing.
Which types of female hair loss is the method suitable for?
Above all for a thinning parting, a receding hairline, deep temple recession or targeted densification. With active, diffuse hair loss we first clarify the cause – in that case a non-surgical treatment may be the better first step.
How much does a hair transplant without shaving cost?
Our normal fixed prices apply: from 2.470 € (FUE Lite), 2.840 € (BASIC with sapphire FUE and DHI) or 3.490 € (Premium, up to 5,000 grafts). The DHI technique that makes working without shaving possible is included in the BASIC and Premium packages.
How long does it take for the result to become visible?
The same as with any hair transplant: the first new hairs appear from the third or fourth month, and the full result shows after around twelve months. During this time we accompany you with free progress checks.
